Olaf, a 2-year-old white Golden Doodle has a tibia fibula comminuted fracture. A comminuted fracture is where a bone is broken into more than two fragments. In Olaf’s case, there are three pieces of bone that need to be knit back together. At Columbus Small Animal Hospital, a bone plate is employed to repair the fracture. Soon, Olaf is out running around and once again enjoying a dog’s life.
